Hi,
I have a silkie that is about 3.5 months old is no longer able to eat or drink.
She was born with a deformed beak. I had been trimming it hoping it would help. She was always smaller but I observed her eating and drinking with the others regularly. Her beak gradually kept looking worse and now she seems unable to eat and drink at all and is extremely malnourished. Her beak no longer closes but did used to close.
Does anyone know what is wrong? I would also like any advice on humane euthanasia. I have watched a few videos on cervical dislocation, is this best?
Also, please excuse the last photo. I am not strangling her in the photo. Just gently holding her head to get a close up to show the beak better.
