Silkie Cochin mix chicks

Very cute! Since they don’t have regular silkie feathering it should be slightly easier to determine sex but since they are still silkies could still be months.

Because they also have other breeds in the mix their looks can vary greatly but in my experience the silkie gene appears to be a dominant trait, one can usually tell when a bird is part silkie.
