Hey @PioneerChicks... what do you think about the idea of just picking one of the chicks, and putting there pictures, all in a row? I don’t know, just sounds interesting... like maybe putting it in an article or something?

I am planning on an article! Hmm, that does sound like a good format. I could also put their pictures all together week by week, like I'm doing in this thread. Which do you think would work better?

I’m not sure... either I think would be great! The reason I suggested doing one of just one chick is so someone can just look easily, and see the growth easily. But then you wouldn’t be able to compare boys/girls, so...

Anyway, it’s your thread, so it’s your choice!

I think being able to compare boys to girls might be more useful in an article. I know when I first got silkies I scoured the internet for a week by week comb comparison and could find nothing. So I think something that shows the combs and how they develop differently would be great for people looking for answers.

I think both could be interesting and helpful in an article, perhaps you could show both forms of comparison (individual development, group development / week).
And perhaps you could add something combining both - all individuals in a column and their week by week change in every row behind everyone, so one could see every single development and could compare in the same time (sorry that I can't explain better what I mean, I'm often struggling with language )

Perhaps something kind of like this in pictures:

Free week 1 week 2 week 3 and so on
Libby week 1 week 2 week 3 and so on
Indy week 1 week 2 week 3 and so on
Judy week 1 week 2 week 3 and so on

Oh wow I don't know how I missed so many pings, I was just thinking it's been a long time since I saw an update on these little guys!

That's really the best I've got, sorry! I'm not sure why, it is a really nice camera for a phone. I missed a week (I was out of town) but I'll add probably the last couple weeks of photos soon.

I now have 3 silkies (only 4 weeks old) that I think are all cockerels. *groan*

I'm thinking of starting a thread like yours, although my picture quality is, erm not the best.
