Mine have black spots too, but where did the spots come from? These two day old chicks are from a Silkie roo X Cochin hen. Both parents are buff.

thanks.... I would love that, actually I´m doing a genetic research with sikie crosses and this is one the cross I am very interested in, information learn on your birds could help alot of people in the future, thanks again

My buff Cochin hatched three mixes, two with spots and one without. Here are the two with spots:



and here is the third one that is solid buff. I moistened it's down to see the skin better.

so far the first 2 chicks are females(pullets) but Im not sure about the last one, can you take more pics of that last chick? thanks.
