Silkie gender guessing game

Hi all!

So I know this question is probably pretty premature, but figured I’d ask in case some of you silkie experts might be able to take a guess already.

I have a few 5-6 week old silkie chicks. The paint colored chick was the smallest of the bunch, then the frizzle and the blue one was significantly bigger than both. Any ideas what gender they could be?

I’m guessing blue and paint are roos based on the comb size. I’m just learning so don’t quote me on that!

They are just adorable!
I agree they are way too young to gender ID. But I agree with @yakitori that the blue and paint are likely boys but nothing definitive! Repost when they are at least 12 weeks old, alternately if you must know you can send their feathers in to be dna tested for gender.

Argh, I hope you both are wrong, but I was thinking those two both might be as well. Fingers crossed that they aren’t male... I would hate to have to give them up

I hope I am wrong, too. These are very early guesses. Silkies are really difficult to sex, normally have to be at least 3 months of age.

I agree. Paint and Blue are probably boys.

They are all adorable though!
