No they are still in coop in nesting box and running all around all over the coop. No one bothers them but me because Elsa will eat them up. LolShorty I am curious I guess your mama chick and babies are still in the coop or nesting boxes another words you haven't moved them?
Thanks to everyone for your sympathies
No matter where they are, make sure they have constant access to plenty of clean water. Could the pet carrier have gotten too hot? Was the bedding damp? I can’t figure out why a pet carrier would cause a chick to die, especially if mom is ok. We had one chick die from being damp when there was an unusual rainstorm and everything was completely wet. The mom just couldn’t keep it warm enough. Good luck with the others. Hopefully some of the experts will jump in here. If not, you might want to start another thread to ask about the pet carrier, but I had a friend who used those constantly with hers very successfully. My heart goes out to you!I give them small waterers and chick starter as soon as they hatchedMaybe my mistake was to move them out of the coop and put them in a closed plastic pet carrier...it seemed in the coops nesting boxes the chic could not get water
This is the cutest thing!!!The baby!
