I'm not sure yet. It hatched while I was at work and my wife wasn't sure on the color. I had my eyes dilated at 3 so I can't really tell. It is pretty dary right now, my guess is blue. I will update with pics later when I can see better.

Will be setting this Sunday. Setting 9 olive eggers, 8 BCMs, half a dozen silkies, and I dunno what else. Picking up some porcelain d'uccles for a friend when I get the silkies, but the breeder also has some black mottled d'uccles sooooo I dunno, might get some more. Also going to get some EE eggs from a fellow BYCer and maybe a few extras of whatever else she has in her mixed flock.

Can't ya just feel spring on its way??? I'm lovin' hatching season!

ETA: This is my first time hatching silkies... anything special I should know?

This is my first time incubating eggs and I had 6 silkie eggs I put in last friday. Candled tonight and all but one was viable. I am so hoping that the 5 that are left make it all the way! Hatch date is March 11. Cant stop checking the temp and humidity even though all has been well. I see your babies and cant wait for mine to hatch! Send me good vibes please!!!!

day 19 and 3 hatched and 6 more peeping.I run my temps higher for this reason and i seem to have way better luck like this around 96% say it can be doon.I will post pics when they are done

Well today is day 22 I still have 5 silkie eggs and 3 mutt eggs in the bator. I went to lockdown with 12 silkies and 12 mutt with one mutt I was sure was expired. I ended up losing one silkie so I have 6 silkies and 8 mutt chicks running around the brooder! Once everything is done I will post some pictures.

They are hatching really well day 20 begins at 3ish this afternoon so i hope to be doon but if some remain then i will go a few days after i think ther are 11 out of 21 done with6 more trying to bust out
