my silkie Pullet has been sleeping pretty much all day. She has an appetite, she just seems tired and lethargic. I am really worried because my other old English got cancer and was really lethargic but it doesn’t seem like the same symptoms. What do you think it could be? Any help welcome

Has it been wet and chilly lately? She may be chilled. Try a half cup of warm water with a teaspoon of brown sugar stirred in to elevate her glucose. See if that revives her.

Have you checked her crop? Check in the morning before you offer food and water. It should be flat and empty. What is her poop like? Is she currently laying? Any egg quality issues? How old is she?

Her crop is flat, she hasn’t ate today. Her poop is solid. She is laying normal eggs, she is 9 months old.

I bet she caught a chill and has a slight case if hypothermia, especially if you guys were in the way of that latest storm. Besides the warm sugar water, heat an old towel in the dryer and wrap her in it and cuddle her for a bit. I bet she revives.

it has been warm here (50s/60s) and I gave her 2 eggs and some water with vitamins and she seems better and is eating!thnak hou
