I’m a bit stumped on this. My hen suddenly is acting sick. I noticed on the camera she had been laying around in one spot for hours so i went out and checked on her. She did come right up to me and come out of the run for a bit. But she is puffed up, feathers drooped, lethargic, bigish squishy crop, slight head jerk
I went back into the camera notifications. She seemed totally normal all morning. Eating and drinking. Then it looks like 11:45 she’s drinking water normallg and then the next notification is at 11:55 and she’s on the other side of the waterer just laying there and that’s the general area she was just laying all day.
So I’m wondering if it’s a vitamin deficiency OR we have been having a mice problem despite me installing commercial enclosed sticky traps and doing my best to block all entrances they are still getting in some how so I’m assuming there is poop in the food. Idk if they can get sick from that.
She has on and off over the year and a half I’ve had her had these moments where she suddenly for no apparent reason get sick when no one else is. Idk if maybe she’s extra sensitive to things? Idk.
I also do know their run is a total mess and needs fi be completely stripped and redone with sand but i haven’t had a chance because it was winter then the spring i was 9months pregnant and then i just had a baby 2 months ago who is very colic so it’s been very hard for me to get out there and really do what i need to when im the once caring for the baby 99% of the time. So idk if that could have something to do with if? I just don’t know. I need some help
