Silkie pants...post your pics

I’m always bird watching. As repetitive as they are, for some reason I find myself watching them for hours on the weekends and really look forward to it. I love talking pictures of them. And every now and then I get these funny silkie “pants” pictures. For example, in this pic it looks like my silkie is wearing white fluffy pants. Anyone else have any? They always make me laugh.

They are so funny to watch. I can’t wait until my little splash silkie Sparkles gets older so I can see her personality. She super shy. If I put her outside she won’t move more than a few inches for like 2 hours. I think the big outdoors intimidates her!

They do! I’m a city girl and none of my friends understand why I love chickens! They give me this crazy stare when I share a video or a picture of them, when they come over and see them, or when I talk about them. I just can’t imagine my life without them!

Even being pregnant with my first child, feeling extra big and immobile, I still find the time and energy to hang out with them and clean up their coop (with my boyfriend reluctant help of course) lol. You just don’t understand the joy they bring until you own them because it’s hard to explain how an animal that clucks, digs, and scratches all day can bring so much enjoyment to ones life
