Yeah that's what I thought...Although the Spic n' Span spray that is used in the thread on how to bathe a Silkie is suppose to work really well on their legs/feet to get any dirt/poop stains out...I would have thought that using cleaning spray wouldn't be safe on them, but apparently so is Dawn dishwasher detergent, dog shampoo, etc...even cologne to make them smell good! (yep, someone said they put cologne on their Silkies after they give them a bath!

I've got 20 or so all colors, not my favorite. I'm not allowed to eat them or their eggs and all the eggs keep going in the incubators I prefer large dual purpose chickens.

That would be fine for me. Almost my entire family is Vegetarian, so the only reason we would have them is for pets and enjoyment...and eggs. But it's fine if they aren't excellent egg layers.

I'm going to tell my mom about them and see what she thinks...I will be sure to use "Asian Silkies" instead of just "chickens"...Maybe that will make them sound more interesting to her, since she really isn't a chicken person. She has shown some interest in my incubator and my baby chick that I hatched, so that's a good sign. But she won't even hold the baby chick because she thinks she's dirty or something, I don't know. She thinks of them as "farm animals", which they are, but seriously...who wouldn't want to hold a cute, fluffy baby chick?!

Personally, I really don't care for them. DB had two, a black one and a white one, named Cotton and Coal. I really don't know why, just not a big fan. But then, to each their own
