Silkie Roos?

I have two nearly 3-week-old Silkies. I've been hearing squeals from the brooder and recently caught them in the act. The white one jumped on top of the splash, and the splash squealed and ran off. Is this roo behavior or just chick play??

At that age I'd say normal chick behavior and not necessarily indicative of the one being a boy.

These two are really going at it, though. I don't remember the other chicks doing this. They corner each other, stare each other down, and charge. Really? Normal? Sheesh!

I've got 8 showgirls/silkies in my brooder that are 9 days old. Two of them, one silkie and one showgirl, are doing the exact same thing. They are constantly butting chests and giving each other the stink eye. Last year, I had some chicks that were this bad and they both turned out to be hens. I guess it's just a chick thing.
