I bought a silkie rooster today from a girl in my hometown. He came when 6 chicks that aren’t his but he’s been around a lot. Well he’s letting the chicks which are about 2 months old sleep under him. He’s keeping them warm. Is this normal? Or do I just have a sweet rooster?
pics? my neighbors roo incubated his own eggs and raised them:idunno:confused:it sounds crazy, but he sure is a roo.

It isn't normal but isn't very uncommon. You are lucky to have such a sweet roo though, many roos are aggressive towards chicks.:love Have fun with your chicks!
