That's hilarious, maybe now she's so busy pairing, hatching, raising, and rehoming her own quail now that she doesn't have time to talk to anyone anymore
The babies are doing great! I put one of the smallest chicks from my hatch in with them for awhile this morning while I was out watching them, it still dwarfed the chocolates, but they immediately started earing, drinking, and dust bathing together it was super cute! I took the big chick out and it ran around then started trying to get back into the brooder box with the babies again
The progression went from, who elected me baby sitter? I am grumpy

Itty bitty Fray was puddled out under the heat lamp like one of those choco-melts

she's so tiny.

Chonkers tried to let them out, he was tapping the chicken wire and pulling in different spots like he was trying to figure out the right combination that would unlock the brooder.

Svanhild had cold feet so she happily used me as a foot warmer, Chonkers was absolutely convinced that there must be food involved and he was rather upset he couldn't find any. She hung out on my hand all fluffed out for at least 5 minutes, her feet got really nice and toasty!

I held all three chocolates, Frygg the biggest, settled down and took a little nap, Freya relaxed a little and looked around, but little Fray is a fighter and wanted nothing to do with me.
