silkie sexing

Al

Right now it's so early to guess but I think marshmallow is a pullet and disco maybe a roo. I'm leaning towards s'more being a pullet but really don't know. Not sure on jazz at all. If you can update with pics in a few weeks you will probably be able to get more accurate guesses. Until then I would watch for roo like behavior as well as stance. My silkie cockerels have carried themselves like little roosters long before I could positively sex them.

Ok here we go.... The babies are two weeks older (8 weeks) and I'm still just as confused as ever! We had our first bath today (trying fermented feed and boy were they messy!) So, we took some glamor shots after. I asked them to work for the camera.... But after a bath, they were just tired ;) Any opinions would be great!

(Crooked beak? Does this make it ineligible to be a show chicken?)

Based on the Wong coloring I think your partridge may be a roo. Im not positive about the others because I'm on my phone but they look like pullets to me :) I'll check again later tonight

I wanted to ask, in reference to the red coloring on the partridge do the red copper/splashy color rules apply to silkies when sexing them? Honestly the crest of the bird in question looks pullety (still young tho) and I guessed roo because of the colors. Any silkie color/genetic experts care to weigh in?
