silkie sexing

I have a silkie rooster...9-10 months old...who is all rooster with my bantam cochin and silkie. I also have 4 baby silkies...4-6 months old...growing up in the same pen. With your help I'm trying to accept that one of my favorites is a roo. If he is, how long can/will they coexist if they have 11 hens with them? What size pen do I need to have to house them all together (if possible).

Silkies will coexist with 2 roos and 11 hens. Size of pen can be smaller than bigger chickens. I did have 2 roos and 10 hens in a coop that is 10 by 14 with a small fenced area. Now I have 1 roo, 1 cockerel with 5 hens and 5 pullets plus a bunch of chicks in the same area.

My older silkie roo is seems really big. Almost as big as my austrolorp. He was supposed to be a bantam but I'm not sure. He crows loud! I this up and coming roo is a true silkie bantam, any chance,he won't crow very loud?

The silkie roo I have now wasn't very loud when he was younger, but now that he's about a year and a half he's getting louder. He's also growing more and more dominant, maybe that's a factor?

Leaning towards roo with these 2, but want to verify. They are 3.5 months old. Alvin:
