Sounds like it's a boy. I've got some shipped eggs coming too! Although, not silkie. Black bantam rosecombs. I hope your eggs all arrive safely and you have a great hatch! Are you getting in on the big easter hatch a long? That looks pretty fun. At least my egg frustration will be vent on my new eggs coming in!

That is GREAT he is doing well! Sorry he is a he... but if he is a house chicken, it won't matter too much. And my boys are way nicer than my girls. I have 3 silkie cockerels-- they are all sweet!!

Well, I'm in the same boat. I'm not sure when my shipped eggs are coming in. Probably not in time. I'm going to throw in some of my silkie eggs again and see if my boy has figured it out. Sigh.

Don't mean to jump into the middle of the thread but--four out of four silkie eggs pipped this afternoon! With the nine just hatched in the brooder, and another dozen or so eggs in the incubator, I'm going to cut my hen some slack over the fact that she's taken it into her head to brood bare straw the last day or two. Guess she figures she ought to have quite a pile of eggs by now!

This is such a small batch it hardly even counts, but I'll be sooo excited if all four eggs make it out!

Cross your fingers for me!
