Ahhh, thanks, guys! I'm crossing mine, too! Our last hatch (and I really have no right to complain, given that some of the eggs were three weeks old and were 'stored' in the 40 something degree barn while I tried to get Mom to raise them) but, as I was saying, in the last batch there was one chick that pipped, then died without doing anything else. Looked fully formed and healthy, but didn't get into position well so it pipped way too low for the air sack. Always makes me sad...so then I run look at the nine happy chicks and cross my fingers again for the four in the hatching bator!
And, why yes, I do believe I AM hopeless! lol
