I love this age. That last grey is really gorgeous!!
Silkie colors are so much fun. They're just full of surprises!!
I'll have to go and catch them all tomorrow and get a good look at their wings. It looks like there are some dark feathered wings coming in so those would be blue, correct?
And then there are some that look like this. This is a terrible and a very dark picture, I just cropped it from a larger one, but you sort of see the wings. Does it look splash?
And then there's this picture.
It looks possible but they change so much. I had this one that I could decide about and about a week after this picture it's white wing feathers turned blue. The whole chick turned blue.
It looks like your chick almost has a yellow hue to it's head? Or is it maybe the lighting in the picture? I have one chick that's grey and has some yellowish feathering here and there. lol
I'll just have to be patient and wait for these little guys to grow! Very difficult to do because when you're excited and want answers now. lol
Oh, did the white in the wings go away as your chick got older?
Oddly enough im not too sadden.... Sort of figured already... Shows im learning guess thats the bright side....
The chick is 4 weeks old now and yes it did have a yellow cast. It now has just a touch of white left on the tips of a couple of wings. Most of its body is now black.
This little Silkie settled right down
This little showgirl didn't want a photo shoot. Wide awake.
Indeed but all can be explained by the color gene genetics ;-)
