Silkie thread!

Hello   I decided to find a silkie thread and there you are! Need some help on a color question. I have silkies and showgirls and I've got something popping out of my flock that is (i'm guessing) either porcelin or lavendar...not sure which but definately not white! Here's some pictures!

Any help on the mystery color would be really appreciated! Love all the pictures on this thread!  Oh...one more picture...this is one of my pullet showgirls from this years hatches Been working on nice high vaulted skulls and the feathering on thier feet. Her name is Q-tip

The color in question doesn't have any red on it. They just have a slate blue-ish tinge down thier backs and in the topknots.

Dear Sanna,
PLEASE keep us updated on how your Catdance eggs do under your hen. I am hoping to try this in the future and I am sooooo excited for you!!! This Silkie thread is the first thing I check when I get home from work each day. (After of course I have spent time with my babies!!!!) I love seeing everyone's pictures, it is so helpful. Also all the experienced breeders and exhibitors who offer their opinions, invaluable

Trust me, I will keep everyone updated! lol This is the first time I've ordered eggs. So far, I've just hatched my own eggs out of my pet quality birds. This year I decided it was time to get some nicer birds. I've been looking at all these beautiful silkies in the forum for so long that I just couldn't take it any longer!

I had to have some too.
I'm here on the forum all the time too. I sometimes check it on my lunch break, my computer is always on so I can just sit down with my lunch and read about silkies. lol I have learned most of what I know here.

Your silkie avatar looks identical to mine in every way but colour! He has the same stance, build, feathers and comb. Of course I'm biased, but he's adorable

Excuse his lack of tail feathers. Jagger (BR roo) ripped them all out. They are finally growing back.

It's been a long time since I have thumbed through this thread. I forgot how much I like to look at the silkies!
I have a question that I hope someone can help me with...I have 2 pins of silkies, bbs & white. My bbs will give me 1-2 eggs a day from 4 hens, but my whites will not lay. They are all 10 months old and have layed in the past. I know it has been VERY hot recently but it has started to cool down and still no eggs. I gave the wihtes a nest box last night hoping that will help, so we will see. My bbs hens will lay anywhere and the whites used to do the same thing. Is there anything I can do to promote egg laying?

Maybe its just a white thing. My whites are 10 months also and they do the same thing. They will lay for a week or so then nothing for a while. But my splash lays all the time. If you find out why this is let me know
