Silkie thread!

By the way people! I need help naming this pullet.
I just cannot come up with anything fun and original. Any ideas? She's about 4 months old now. A very sweet girl. I decided to keep her for a pet because she is pretty (I think) and makes the cutest noises when you pick her up. lol And she has some serious foot feathers it seems.

I'll never be able to pick a name for this pullet. lol I got a billion name suggestions through Facebook as well. I think the best one so far was E.R. Chicken by a 3 year old girl.

Very Pretty....how bout Lola...Whatever Lola Wants...Lola Gets!?!?

Ill try in post better pictures today. No, no paint eggs. I got some lav, por ,b/s. One Porcelain hatchery. 2 b/s abd tge rest are lavender. I talked to" kelar" she sait they might be split do I got different colors. But the lighter blue/gray one i would like to know exactly what color it is. Its turning a light gray color. At what age can it be a definitely thing of knowing what color it will be?

You can be pretty sure at 5 - 6 wks.

Question? What color would a silkie be if it's born a light blue almost gray coat to them? Would it be a blue or Lav or something else? I have a blue hen that looks black but has the blue fluff and she was darker blue growing up any ideas? Here is a pic of her

But the blue i hatched yesterday is soooo light in comparison i just don't know,

Blues can be as light as lavender or look black and everything in between. A true black has black under coat.

Saw this hen at the fair yesterday. She is IDENTICAL to my pullet, and this hen won best bantam hen
