Just adorable! Love that color
I will take a peek at their vents tomorrow and see who is laying. I am thinking it's Dumpling. Bonney is supposed to be around six months old. I am pretty sure Dumpling is the older of the two.Have you noticed that you can tell who's laying because their vents are hugeI looked at Nori's after she started and was like YIKES!![]()
What color are your chicks?
I have a splash pullet, 7 or 8 months old now, I was sure she was a boy when they were 4 or 5 months old. She developed dark purple wattles and the comb was looking mulberry color. Well, it still turned out to be a girl.![]()
Can you post us pictures?
Pretty sure I have a buff, splash, a blue & 2 dark blue? I think the buff, splash & the runt (drk blue) are roos..
HOPE- my runt. just now coming into her/his feathers! Today she was chest bumping my suspect roos... Check out her mohawk! Is she dark blue?
CHARLIE- I think Charlie is a girl... totally mellow & soft.. (light blue)? No wattles no red/pink comb
GRACIE MAY will soon become GEORGE soon (if I'm right!) 6 toes, wattles...Splash??
PEEP- Buff? I have always thought Peep was a roo, even though the breeder thought it was a girl... we shall see- comb & wattles. Has always been the biggest. Hatched 1st week of January.
BENINA- I just love Benina- my 3 year old named herShe's really not that smart
Is she a light blue?
What do you guys think??
Thank you!!!Peep, that boy is GORGEOUS!!!! I always appreciate your new avatar pics.![]()

Most likely boy, but you won't want to breed this one with 6 toes, unless the rules are different for sizzles?GRACIE MAY will soon become GEORGE soon (if I'm right!) 6 toes, wattles...Splash??
Could be a girl, but comb is pretty bright. So i'll say boy too. Is it's beak straight? The picture makes it look crooked.PEEP- Buff? Need to see the front of the face, can't really tell.BENINA- I just love Benina- my 3 year old named herShe's really not that smart

Yay! Happy news! A girlie blue is great news.
After such an awful day, I went out to the barn tonight dragging my feet to turn off the lights and say goodnight to everybody. Surprise! One of my Catdance girls, (Bonney or Dumpling) laid their first egg! I needed some happy Silkie news and can find it here on this thread tonight!
Catching up on all the pretty pictures posted the last few days. Wow!
