They are great with children, mine tolerated my 5 year old sister picking them up and moving them back and forth from the landing of my stairs to the ground and didn't run away when she came near. As for laying, my hen has been laying an egg a day non stop for a week

but they can be iffy layers.
 
I have just bought 3 young silkies ( all hens hopefully) just wondering how are they at accepting new hens to the flock? These being 10, 12 & 14 weeks old should I not bother or they will be ok?
Just not sure if I should or just leave them as 3??
Any advice is appreciated .
 
I am interested in breeding Seramas to Silkies. I two Silkie roosters( I just bought them) and I have Serama eggs in my incubator. What does a cross between the two look like? Does anyone have pictures? I am relatively new to raising Silkies also.
