smokehouse13 -- That is blue - it looks like very light under coat
I just picked my new roo up from the post office !!! Yeaaaah he was happy to get out of that box . He is nestled safely down his holding pen . I wont move him out to the barn till the end of the month . He'll get to meet his girls then . Thanks again Happy Chick ~~~~~ Tammy
I have a little one that was the prettiest chick we've gotten out of our flock. It's in the raggedy stage now but it's showing potentioal from my point. I'm no silkie expert though. It has what looks like to me to be near perfect toe separation. I'll have to get pics today. My house chicken decided she wanted to go broody so I gave her a couple of eggs. She was the perfect momma. Just last week she was acting like she wanted her freedom back so I took them out and put them in the grow pen with 2 others I got that are younger and I got from somebody else on BYC.
That white roo is beautiful and so are all the other silkies i've seen on here. I like them all even if they aren't perfect or have flaws.
This is the chick when it was less than 24 hours old
This is an older one from my flock. I have him with this sizzle that if anybody knows what the color and gender is please let me know. The cockereal I think is blue. The lighter feathers you see in the pic are the down. He just went thru his first molt.

The lighter feathers on his tail are of course not down feathers.

The sizzle, of course. Color and gender if possible. It's a Christmas chicken. Named Noel. Girl or boy, it's stuck with that name. I also have 2 black silkies that are Santa and ...well I forgot what I named the other one. One of those brain farts.
