Silkie thread!

Here is the best I could get this chick deff has some cuckoo coloring on its wings its more visable today then it was lastnight. It almost looks barred but I know barring does not work on silkie feathering. This chick is one I suspected to be splash do splash sometimes have this pattern maybe?

I can barely see the pattern. I think your not gunna know till it feathers out more . But I'd really lean toward partridge pattern more likely. Just my thoughts ~~~Tammy

. I'd love to see a pic in about 6 weeks . all of my pure pens are never a surprise other then when they are growing out and I've breed new blood in for improvement in one way or another . But eggs I've bought usally are and my project pens always are

I love watching them develop into their colors and types ~~~Tammy

Maybe a self blue old english game bantam. Def. not a silkie.

I'll second this and retract my previous statement since I'm far less knowledgeable.

There are also no foot feathers...not likely to be a silkie. What colour is the skin (check in the wingpit)

That is really too young to see barring. Yes, barring works on silkie feathers (that is what cuckoo is, when all is said and done), but I don't see how they could ever be sharp and crisp like an exhibition barred rock.
