I don't use medicated feed for any of my birds. Since I have so many and if anybody gets sick and I have to give them meds I have to take them off the medicated feed. That would just require me to have to go and buy unmedicated feed.  When I have a mother with babies I have one bowl of layer for her one bowl of chick feed and fresh water. I'll be giving this momma vitamins. I suppose she won't be so easy to cooperate once she is moved to a larger space.

Oh good , I wasn't sure . If you give the polyvisol ( without iron ) a drop in the beak and a drop in her drinking water that should cover it. I have baby vitamins on hand at all times. Marmite, Vegemite and brewers yeast are all good sources of B1 and just for good measure I give my momma and babies an over ripe banana
B6.
I have a product called ' poly-aid plus, it's labelled for sick or injured birds. It also contains probiotics. I suspect it is similar to your ' save a chick ' product.
I make it up into a slurry and draw it up into a syringe, but if you are competent at tube feeding that would be better. This stuff is sweet and sickly, but they seem to like it. I have saved quite a few chicks with it and it has all of the B group vits in it.
Not trying to confuse you, just giving alternatives. :)
