Silkie thread!

where is that? do they have a website?
Yes they have a website. If you look up IDEAL poultry then you'll find their site. They are located in Texas, but I live in Minnesota and they arrived safely. And instead of a 25 chick minimum they have a $25 minimum.

Yes I ship. I have a flock that produces blue black splash white and partridge. Until I get breeding pens set up, its a box of chocolates. :) pm me if you are interested. I have pics on my profile of my birds.
different kinds of partridge too. Here have to be at least four variances in reds/blues. Some are tan and not red. Some are brown instead. One of them is turning a very dark blue with little to no red/orange/yellow.

My birds are breeding stock from show quality lines. The partridge is a genetic throwback from one of my whites. I had an entire hatch of 5 whites 4 months ago, and the hatch before 2 black, 3 blue, 1 splash, 4 white, and 1 partridge. This last hatch i have 5 partridge a white and a blue. I just want to clarify I have pure colors, not just variations of colors. :)

sounds awesome, I'm very interested.

I got my partridge chicks from Ideal Hatchery as well :) I wasent sure about that hatchery at first because I have heard some negative feedback about their quality but so far I am happy with the way these look. Well the lighter one in particular because I love her vault. The other doesent have a crest or a beard which I wasent way thrilled about but I grabbed it anyway to see what it turns into. The feathering on their feet isent that great either but I will be able to get a better idea on their quality in a few mths when I can see how nice they are growing :)

I always ordered my chickens from Murray McMurray! They always threw in an exotic freebie chick. And one time they gave me a Brahma Rooster chick! Oh he grew to be huge, but was a softie around hens and ppl! A friend of my sisters fell in love with him. LOL She didn't have chickens, but made sure she held "Big Boy" as often as possible!
