Don't feel alone I think we all have or will have horror stories that are similar to what happened to your poor babies. Keep your head up, learn from this, try not to dwell and make yourself more miserable

Thanks! I missed my silkie peeps! Mine will eat the pellets too but they will pick around it as much as possible if I don't grind it down. I think because the rest of their food is crumbles. It depends on how lazy I'm feeling when I add it to the mix whether or not it get's ground up lol They will eat the BOSS no problem but I don't add it to their feed I just scatter it.

No I didn't find anyone to ship but really the weather here is just too hot! Thursday is forecasted to be 105!! Hopefully soon I'll be able to make a car trip to pick up a few to add to my flock but I think it may have to be fall before I can ship any new birds in from further away. I'm not sure shipping eggs at this point will even work I imagine they would cook on the way here!

Yes you can, personally I wouldn't for a long period of time though.

i have breeding pens with wire floors i love it the poop falls to the ground and my bird seem to like it

I can understand the pros for wire but I've seen majorly torn up foot feathers from being on wire for too long. Also seem to recall it's hard on their feet? idk If it works for you that's awesome
