sundown silkies you are very fortunate -- the weather here has been crazy from micro bursts ( little tornados ) to horrible thunder and lightening storms when it isn't raining it's so hot and humid you cann't breath and this is only june . My whites haven't laid an egg in over a month and they don't seem broody . The blacks have recently in last 2 weeks started laying better they never completely stoped . the partridge and buffs give me a egg or two every now and then for the last couple of weeks . I sure hope the weather settles down a bit .~~~ Tammy

That's what I was thinking.....The males are "uglier" so to speak when feathering in. It's like they have spiked hair......If we're correct in guessing, I'm thinking I have two male porcelains also......
