It's spring here and everyone is shaking off the winter blues.




And of course some are brooding.

GORGEOUS!! Such pretty little puffs! The one on the bottom has such gorgeous coloring. Do you have a picture of her while standing?!

Thank you, autumn is my favorite time of year.

You're welcome. it's my favorite season as well. It also happens to be my silkies' preferable time to hatch.

Priscilla is always a mother. She has hatched most of my Wyandotte. The best little momma. She is blue with red leakage , so not really a good breeder. But the sweetest little hen. I have a pullet from her in the pens and just like her momma, she ' presents ' to me whenever I enter. Loves a cuddle.

How hard to get are SOP silkies? And are they terribly expensive?

Depends where you are. There are some breeders on here . I breed mine to SOP but occasionally you get a ' Priscilla ' in the bunch. She spends most of her time in the garden and has a very important role here at the farm.

Also, it's obvious now that the mama is the sizzle because I think they are also going to be sizzles?
