Silkie thread!

I got my first egg this past Sunday from BooBoo, my black Silkie. She is the only one that has laid so far. I've been getting one every other day. I've been told that it could be up to a year before they lay. And they don't lay a lot.
 
My girls all lay around 8-9 months. Just a month or two longer than my ameraucana who lay around 7 months. Hatchery birds can lay around 5-6 months
 
This is me wishing for sunny autumn days instead of our usual grey drizzle.

Yes, 6 months!:) And they do look alike! They are cute but I have to say from what I’ve read about how sweet and friendly they are she is my least friendly chicken... she runs when I come in and stays far away where as the other gals cling to me.. she was handled the same maybe even more by my daughter who loves her but she is still very skittish

Aaawww, so very pretty :love Do you only have Silkies?
I also have a Polish Hen (Lilly), a Black Frizzled Bantam (Gypsy) (but didn't frizzle) with my Silkie flock. Then my meat and egg flock I have 3 production reds, ,2 SLW (1 roo), 2 BSL, 1 BR (roo), 2 Cuckoo Marans, 3 hatchlings, and a Brahma roo that free ranges.
