I will be showing my 4 month old silkie in February. She can't see very well and I really want to trim her feathers, will they grow back by the time I show her????

Pluck, don't trim. They should be grown back in by then. If you trim the feathers won't grow back until she molts, which could take forever! I took tweezers and plucked the muffs of my hen, that is what really blocks their vision.

PS: feathers take 6-8 weeks to regrow.

Probably no more painful than plucking your eyebrows.

Could be. I would add vitamins to their water, and make sure it isn't being picked upon by the others.

I just plucked them. She was very calm and now she is acting normal
