How old is it. from the pictures it looks to young to tell. At this age if I was going to guess at this point I would say roo.

I do not think you can once they start it can take a month for them to come out I would just let them do it.

Post more pictures at 4 months then you can get a more accurate guess.

Hi, I have three Silkies and I was wondering if anyone could tell their gender. They're 9 weeks, and another thing, do you think the buff one is a full Silkie?

Thanks for link that's great but I don't have a big enough coop to keep the cage in overnight so having to put her in her nest overnight rather than her been out in the garden in the cold . Any other ideas pls

I gave up trying to break Broodiness. Now I put them to work, if they want to sit on eggs I make it eggs of my choosing. Place water and food nearby and leave them to it. I have a Silkie sitting on blue laced red Wyandotte and coronation Sussex eggs ATM.
