Silkie thread!

I have had 5 Silkie Roosters so far. I have 3 right now. I put 2 eggs under a hen who is sitting so maybe I will get a hen, but they will be white out of white parents. I wonder if the parents are brother and sister. I got them from the same place as chicks. Will that be disabled?

Could be blue partridge with that black moorcap coming in.

More than likely if they are from the same hatch they are related. Not good to breed bro to sis - it weakens the breed, genetics, etc. Father to daughter is better than bro to sis.

Sounds like me. I have 10 and I think 5 are roos. But I love roos so I may end up with a bachelor pad.

Fancy ...

I have heard of an *ALL BOYS OR BACHELOR PEN* my question is I was told Roos can live happily together as long as they do not see or have access to any hens. is that the case or do you do something special that makes for harmony in the pen?
I've had 2 boys and a girl hatch together and live together for all their lives. Never had a problem. I pray I can keep this batch together.
