Not a breed. I'm asking if someone has ever been able to breed correctly to get a silkie looking bird that lays colored eggs. There are such things as bantam EEs I've heard. I believe either Meyer or Mcmurray sells them

Theoretically it should be possible... A pure ameraucana/silkie F1 would produce smooth feathered, green/mint colored egg producers. Breeding this offspring together, and percentage of the offspring would be silkie feathered and still lay green eggs.

I ended up with an oops I'm debating on going forward with...

Leia's mom is a Cream Legbar(good blue eggs too) and her dad is a black Silkie...

Older pic, but she's close to POL now... gonna see what she lays and decide if I want to breed her...

Oh she's pretty! My silkie mix that just began laying has an EE mom who lays a blue egg nearly every day (she's st least 3 years old I think), and I think her father was a white silkie from Meyer Hatchery. Right now her eggs are peewee and brown.
I saw her being mounted by her father(?) the other day. Crossing my fingers the two eggs of hers I put under a broody will hatch!

I've had Silkie mixes that laid blue/green eggs. Never a Silkie looking chicken, that would be something though!

I have a blue Silkie whom I have posted pics on byc asking about gender, everyone says pullet. But tonight I noticed the feathers looking a little iridescent . Blue green tints to it. That's exactly how my SLW Roos feathers shine. Is that a indication my silkies a Roo ??

No, it's quite common for black pulleys to have a green sheen in the osprey ( wing tips ) feathers and sometimes even in the tail.
