Fairly sure, they are about four months he said so I'm not sure they'll be laying for another month or so, but we did get a roo to, and they look very different from one another

Quote: Silkie roos are adorable. They've been known to sit on eggs, LOL. I think they are very good fathers. I started with one hen and 2 roos. They got along just fine. When my hen hatched some Polish chicks, they were like their children even when the Polish would come to visit them. It was really cute. my old guy silkie is 7 years old. When the last hen I had died, he seemed to stare out from the pen an awful lot.
Right now the 7 roos all bow to one. As long as that happens , there may not be a problem. If there is, the roos might have a bachelor pad.
He's handsome! Is he blue partridge? I have a tiny 10 week old that has coloring like him.@workinnanie Think so? His back looks really long to me, but of course he is still only 7 weeks so he has a lot of growing to do. I'm growing out all 11(4 are SGs) to see how they turn out. I know 1 for sure is going to just be a pet. It's a dark blue silkie and it has a lobster claw on each foot. I still have 4 younger dark blue silkies growing out so I'm hoping for a nice looking cockerel from those if the splash one doesn't grow into his long back lolFunny how you can much easier see what they look like in pictures as opposed to in real life. Maybe I just need to train my eyes better
I think I remember telling you that I had some youngsters from a dark porcelain cock bird over a white hen that looked kind of like your avatar picture. Well here is a picture of one of them that I took today. It's the one on the right, and it's a cockerel. They are broody raised so they're a little cautious of me.

Thank ya! I think so. He's the offspring of a dark porcelain cock (from a catdance mating) over a PQ white hen. He's really small and cute, but I have to grab him up and have a better look at his feet cause the last time I checked it looked like he may have a duckfoot (I think that's what it's called). If his feet are okay I may put him over some of his (also partridge) siblings to see if I can find out who inherited the white gene from the mom. Something fun to mess around with I guess till my blues and splashes grow up. I also have his brother who has good feet (except for the foot feathering). This is his brother. He is significantly larger than the other cockerel. I like his comb, but I hope it doesn't get too big. His back is long right now too, but he is still pretty young.
