Silkie thread!

Was there an actual vet on site also? I am wanting to do research under a vet through the NPIP this summer.

No vet was present. A state health department worked comes out, takes some blood from each bird and tests it. Results take 2 minutes and the birds tested get a metal band on their leg. I learned a lot and she was very nice and gentle with my birds.

So I have have just started hatching some of my silkie eggs what possible colors would I get from a paint roo and a partridge hen? I don't really understand the genetics yet

My naughty, handsome rooster Bow. Just had to share his doodle do stance....lol.

One of my silkies hatched. I'm guessing it's a paint?

I have a lighter partridge hen who throws chicks that look like that. I won't be using her in anymore breeding as it looks like she's the source of my occasional odd colored birds.

I'm not sure about paint genetics so I can't say what your chicks will look like.

The joys of weird toes on silkies. If these two are pullets, I already have pet homes waiting for them.

This chick is from a paint roo and a black hen. I just got the partridge that's why I was curious about the colors they could put out

@Hinotori sorry it didn't show my reply to your last comment. That chick is from a paint roo and a black hen. I just recently got a partridge is why I was wondering what colors I would get from a partridge and a paint.
