there is a lot of variability in chick colour with partridge.

Mine feathered out normal partridge, but I suppose anything is possible since it came out of a splash and blue mating. I wish I understood genetics more, because I only know what happened in my case!

If one parent was splash, it would be blue partridge or even splash partridge (since the other parent was blue)

That's very positive! I think I'm going to try them in my conditioning pen to practice for shows. I don't always like restricting them of water for so long in hot temps but they always manage to get their beards soaked if given the chance!
 
I want to thank all that encouraged me to take my birds to the spring show here ( it was today ) . We had a blast !!!! I took 6 and placed 1st 6 times - there were 31 entries . My birds were placed BV 3times --RV 2times and RB!!! And congrats to moutaintop silkies her little blue silkie took champion featherleg !!!! very exciteing day. I met some really awsome people and learned a great deal . Thanks again for the encouragement ~~~~Tammy

Thanks. I don't breed partridge, so had no idea that the chick colour can vary.
