You don't want lavender hatching eggs, they are still too hard to hatch when they remain in place. Shipping would pretty much guarantee a non hatch. I've wanted an opportunity to say this, anyone selling and shipping lavender eggs at this time are either clueless to the hatching issues or know about it and are doing it strictly for the money.
You are exactly right! Buy them already hatched or adults. Then you know exactly what you're getting.
Why are lavendar eggs hard to hatch? I've already experienced this, frankly, have not gotten a good hatch on any silkie eggs. I bought 24 eggs from a neighboring state, and hatched 1 chick....a buff...to say I'm disappointed is putting it mildly. I have a sportsman incubator, and hatch last 3 days in another incubator. Its frustrating....
I have to say, the buff chick so far is perfect in every way, so I'm glad for that, but it was an expensive chick!
If I want silkies in the future, I will only buy chicks, not eggs...lesson learned..
That chick cost me $100.
