My rooster will not breed with his offspring or do I need to remove them from the flock?

I am new to chickens but I do think that like other animals chickens can't tell their offspring from non offspring and a rooster will breed any hen.

Hrrm....

Thanks, dunno if he's/she's hatchery stock, bought him at a chicken swap.

Figured he/she was just a chick that had some faults they didn't want, but I have no idea.

He's/She's a total cutie either way, maybe I'll know 100% what he/she is when he's/she's all grown up.

I,too, just got my first nice silkies. They just hatched so I will probably breed them next fall. I have bbs and whites from Mary Robbins.

Mary says that you may hatch out partridge from her BBS eggs. Did you? I got one partridge out of the eleven chicks I hatched.

It seems like I may have. Whatever it is, it sure is cute! I have had a partridge chick from a hatchery before and it was alot darker in color. Will this one be a lighter part. or a blue part.?

i have 3 roosters in one coop and pen but they each have enough hens and I think that is important also for them to get along. They each have their groups depending on who they grew up with. So far, no problems.
