does anybody know how to post a vertical picture. mine keep uploading sideways.

Your camera software and/or the software you are using to view your photos must be auto-rotating for you. Assuming you are using a Windows computer, use the "Windows Photo Viewer" to look at the picture. (Right click on the photo in question. Look for "Open with". Hopefully, "Windows Photo Viewer" will be one of your choices.) It should show you the picture as it is actually - sideways. There is a button at the bottom that will allow you to rotate the picture. You have to rotate the picture before you upload it.

Question silkie people...I am trying to join the American bantam silkie club...but there is a question on the form that says...'what type of birds are silkies?'

And I put in chickens...then...bantams....then bantam chickens...and every time the form says I got the 'random' question wrong so it wont let me join???

Anyone know the answer? It is very frustrating...or do I just not know what a silkie is?

I'm guessing that that must be a question to weed out automatic (no-human) responses? In any case, you should be able to email Carina, the secretary, and get her help. It might just be that you need to use or not use a plural? chicken vs chickens? or vice versa? There should be a link to the club officers on the home page; click on Carina's name and you should be able to send her a message.

Thanks all. I am worried about brain bleeding so was hoping someone out there might have some experience. He is acting much better, and talking to me but just
seems off. I'm afraid I will wake up and he will be dead in the morning - slow brain bleed, etc. I am new to chickens, so new to chicken injuries. The reaction to the
injury was fairly violent. I couldn't find any blood. Anyway.. I will keep everyone posted. I just really have grown attached to this guy....he is from my first hatch ever.
I always wanted a white, ordered mixed eggs (colors not pens) and not ONE white egg in the bunch! Then he hatched out. I was ecstatic...then the husband nearly
kills him by dropping the house phone in the brooder only hitting my favorite of course...and now this. Two blows to the head. He's a very "special" bird in more
than one way lol.

when silkies are shipped, is there anything special to do when you receive them? i lost this beautiful boy two weeks after receiving him- he was shipped well, orange and food- and no hold up at the post office, but after a week he began to fade- he was such a sweet heart! but he would hide his head when you held him....
