You're welcome.Thank you so much. I don't know if they have ALWAYS been together. I just got them both last weekend and so far they are buddies. Now, I know that may all change once they get interested in the girlies. I love them both so I want to be able to keep them. One is the paint I posted and the other is a black.
Right. Ok, that's what I was wondering. Horses I know.Chickens....not so much. BTW love your tobiano on your avatar
Poor man's paint!![]()
Performed my first chicken bath today, of course, with Elliot, my Silkie avatar - and just a mini-bath, primarily to clean his HEAVILY feathered feet. Turns out, everything I've read about bathing Silkies is true! It was all I could do to prevent him from laying in the warm water. He seemed quite taken with the lavender scented baby shampoo I was using in the bath - intended to relax us both. But the funniest part was with the blow dryer. He opened his wings for full coverage even though only his legs and the tips of his wings got wet. Also, he insisted on the full facial blow. He snuggled into his towel and preened as we worked. They really ARE quite silly birds. He's been running around the house singing ever since!!![]()
Oh Peep!!SO cute!!!! Any chance there is paint behind the blue somewhere?
