Silkie thread!

I have a sweet beautiful 5 month old white silkie male from good show lines. I can't keep a rooster so am looking for a good home for him - hopefully with a little money. I am in Sonoma County California. Ideas?
Have you tried putting an ad for him here on BYC in the Buy, Sell, Trade section?? Get some good pics of him and advertise! There may be someone right down the street from you, you just never know on here!!

Hi, I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to share some baby pics and the mystery chick.

Blue baby

Two blues and a white

Sizzle baby.  I didn't think that my Blue Sizzle hen was old enough to lay.  So, She as residing in the White pen with a White Silkie Roo and a White ShowGirl Roo!!!  I have ended up with some SG Sizzles also.  Who knew?

She has a fantastic crest.  I really like her.  But I can't figure out her color.  Maybe a genetics guru can help me?

By the way, I NEVER get to post here because i;m ALWAYS 20 pages behind.  :lau   Keep it up I love to read about the genetic make up of Silkie colors.

Your little guy up top looks just like the one I got from you a month ago. I actually thought it was him at first. Here is a picture of Lilo. I call him my "million dollar silkie":

I LOVE you sizzle. Do you have any that do not require a heat lamp available? I would love to get one from you. My first two white silkies I got from you are really growing. I believe one is a male but still not sure about the other. They are 8 weeks old. I just love how they are all turning out. So cute and pretty.

Shawn Omg....he is beautiful! My BBS pen is throwing some fantastic vaulted heads right now. I'm amazed with every hatch. I will be at the flock swap this coming Saturday. I may have a few sizzles there. I think I have a few blue and black but it takes a few days for those wing feathers to start curling up.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I will try to get a closer wing photo tomorrow. Those colored chicks hatch out yellow with paint spots. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. But, they sure are are cute.

Have a wonderful night everyone!!

Sharon

Thanks. I plan on being at the swap. I am selling my hatchery silkies, so that means I will be freeing up some room. I diffently would like one of your sizzles and a partridge if you have any that have good breeding qualities.

This is what is "Porcelain"
Here we call this Mille Fleur

This is a phenotype called "Isabel Porcelain"
This we just call Porcelain in the D'uccles and the OEGBs

This is phenotype called "Blue Porcelain"
This is what we call Blue Mille Fleur in the d'uccle and booted bantam breeds

This is a phenotype of "Splash Porcelain"

Splash Mille Fleur or Golden Neck here

All of them have the Millefleur pattern (eb/eb s+/- Co/Co mo/mo)
The second have additional lavender (lav/lav)
The third have additional Blue single doses (Bl/bl+)
The fourth have additional Blue double doses (Bl/Bl)

You understand that the US used name "Porcelain" is genetically not correct.

PS the photos come from kippenencyclopedie.nl
