Silkie thread!

I took some pictures of my grow out pen. I have babies 6 weeks to 10 weeks and two 5 month old splash pullets in there. Most of these are from my blue pair so they are my first that I have raised from sratch so to speak! There are three ten week old chicks in the first photo that are from Catdance eggs.

These three are from my own pair. Blue is 9 wks. splash 8 wks. and black 6 wks. I'm getting such great foot feathering and so excited about that!

What a horrible looking blue silkie!!! You should send her to me right away so you don't have to look at her for a second longer!!!

In all seriousness though... beautiful!!! And I LOVE those loud splash! (swoon...)

Thanks!! I love that blue baby too! It's got a ton of foot feathering. I don't know how it will be able to walk when it grows up!

I wish those loud splash girls would start laying. I can hardly wait to see their babies!

I'm all so getting some super fluffy blacks! This one is only 8 wks.

And this one is 9 weeks.

I think it will be early fall before I have any for sale and I will likely list them on here. Thanks for asking!!

I switch them at 4 months.

My husband was the chicken pro..lol..when he passed, there went all my knowlege! I should have been paying closer attention, he used to use the silkies to hatch the eggs of all his show chickens, but I like them for themselves

I'm so sorry that you lost your husband. I can't imagine
being without mine. We are actually on an anniversary trip
now...and he is patiently tolerating me reading BYC on my
phone every chance I get.

cookie (partridge) and flour ( white? porcelain ? not really too sure wing feathers are white... sure will be fun to see what color she/he ends up) 
ooo its been some time since we have had baby peeping in the house ... super cute , just might be two of the cutest chicks we've had... oddly enough the husband agrees and he was first thrown off by the whole bare necks lol
