Silkie thread!

My Silkie that hatched...This was a bad hatch...only 4 EE and 1 Silkie and no polishXsilkie...But I still have my ONE Silkie, that will be loved!

Hi, I managed to find this silkie thread and I just got two 4 month old silkies to add to my flock, giving me a total of 28 chickens total. The lady who sold me my two silkie girls mentioned that "I'm sorry they are a bit messy... They were in the milk and love it."
I don't know EVERYTHING about chickens but I didn't think that you were supposed to give chickens milk?
There feathers/fur on there head are all crusty even after a bath and one of them is missing a couple nails on her feet.
Any Advice?

Well cheese and yogurt is good for them so I wouldn't doubt they loved it lol. Don't know much about a missing nail though.

Put Cali and Chloe in a "Silkie Nursery" a few days ago, since the babies are hatching soon!

I hate when they share nesting boxes! I plan to just remove the box when the eggs hatch.

And my newest girl, Fancy.

Wow we just had an earthquake! I guess the chicks new what was coming because they refused to leave their coop this afternoon to free range!
We're not far from the epicenter and I freaked out for 3 hours afterwards. it was so loud it was scary.
