I wonder how/why they say they're the only hatchery that sexes them then? Should this concern me?

Betsy looks like a girl to me but definitely not a Silkie. Silkies have mulberry (deep Purple) colored walnut combs, wattles, and faces. Also she should have a top not. If you want a purebred Silkie I would stay away from commercial hatcheries and look for some BYC members as a source.
