Silkies from Garry Farm "BARGAIN" ?

These are my babies from Garry Farms that hatched on March 1st. They are adorable!! This was my second time incubating ever and these are my first silkies

3 white

2 partridge

1 buff - he would not hold still and kept trying to fly up on my arm

I only got 6 to hatch out of 18 but I blame that on me being such a newbie, numerous power outages, and my two curious nephews that i babysit that would not leave the incubator alone!

How did you keep them from running all around? How are their personalities?

Adorable! I love the partridge colored ones!!! I had 6 out of 17 hatch - so I think you did well!! Mine are out enjoying the sun right now....and will be moving to their "big girl coop" this weekend I hope! I have to get it all ready for them! Thanks for sharing these pictures! Noahsmom.....2 more weeks! Can hardly wait to hear about your hatch! How was your 7 day candling?

They definitely ran around like crazy at first but settled down long enough for me to get a couple quick pictures! they are soooooo sweet my daughter adores them and so do I I already want more haha

Good, none of my blacks are developing though all clear and was really hoping for some blacks too but 14 out of 18 are developing! I do believe one partridge of the two is a quitter though. Looks like it began to vein and I see a small embryo but no movement and much much less going on than in the other eggs. But that's ok, I just hope in the end I can have a few hatch

" AND I count every one of your little chicks as a Miracle!!!!!! You know how much we pray over our eggs during the wrapping, shipping and yes during incubation!!!!! And when I get eggs in the mail and sometimes I don't get many to hatch and sometimes I don't get any, I still count the experience as a miracle....That eggs can come through truck, mail, roads, and be tossed literally onto conveyors. And arrive and sometimes hatch! You know I wrap like a "maniac" and have been told I overpack, LOL, but it is worth it every time I see a baby picture or I get a phone message or a little email or pm or feedback or anything cause I say.....awe Thank You Lord, a Little Baby was born....

Hi nancy, I'm seeing 14 developing out of the 18 you sent me, none of my blacks are developing and thought you might want to know that. But I'm so happy with what is! My eggs you sent me were in fantastic shapes and all the air cells look great too, I'm honestly blessed! Reading so much about detached air cells and oddly shaped ones mine are all looking good thanks so much!

Everyone keep posting your silkies from nancy 'bargain' - 'Garry farms' so fun to watch them grow! I've really enjoyed seeing the development in your chicks finshermans wife!

14 out of 18 is fantastic! I have my Garry babies out playing in the grass in their covered "playpen"! I need to move them outside full time, I have just been so busy getting the yard in shape, putting in a new garden, not to mention homeschooling kids and trying to be a good wife! I love this time of year here - the fruit trees are blooming, the air is cool and clear and everything is so beautiful!

I have 18 eggs going into lockdown tonight! I had a crazy day of incubator troubles last week, so I don't know what to expect, but I candled last night, and all looked good, but not a lot of movement. I expect it is very tight quarters at this point, so I am keeping them all in.... I will keep you posted!
