Little chickie doesn't want to hatch :jumpy

6 have hatched, this one started to dry out after all the hatched chicks piled on top of its pipping hole and went to sleep and the membrane became pretty dry.

Hello fellow silkie lovers!

I am making an article about "Sexing Silkies" but I need pictures! If anybody has any pictures they would like to be in it please send them to me. If you send them to me you are giving me permission to use them (only in this article).

I am specifically looking for:
-Pictures that are comparing the size of males and females side by side or bantam vs. standard size
-Pictures that compare the stance/posture of a male chicks and a female chicks
-Pictures that show the growth of a silkie chick's comb by week or month (like silkie comb at 5 weeks)
-Pictures of rooster hackle feathers growing in
-If anybody happens to have a picture of a silkie rooster crowing or exploring around or just looking curious that would be cool

I (obviously) didn't take many pictures while my silkies were growing, so I need a lot. If you do send a picture to me I need the age and (if they have one) name of the silkie.

Thanks in advance
One more thing, for some reason my computer will only let me put pictures in articles by copying any pasting them from albums. I don't know why but it is the only way, so it would be really nice if you put them in an album.

I've tried to give an album a go before but it never seemed to go right on my phone but I'll give it another go when I get time :)

There's just two Silkie eggs left to hatch but it's not looking good for them.

I checked all eggs before lockdown and all were at the same stage of development and alive.

I candled the two eggs left to hatch just now and the dark part of the egg (the chick) has shrunk a lot! The 'chicks' are now just filling quarter of the egg at the pointy end. The air sac fills the rest.

I know it's normal for the air sac to increase but I've never seen it to that extent.

I'm also not seeing any movement or any internal pip/beak.

I'll give them until tomorrow morning then after then I'll start carefully chipping away, just incase.

As for what's happened or is happening to these two, I have no idea :idunno

Maybe they've heard we have snow expected soon so they've decided otherwise on hatching :gig
