I thought it was funny.
I don't even have chickens so I don't have a dog in this race.
But I do have call ducks and they are scorned for some of the same reasons as your silkie breed.
We all like what we like. . and dislike what we dislike. And that's ok.
I live by the policy that anything worthy of taking seriously is also worthy of joking about.
For me that would be a positive for silkie ownership.. A conversation piece in your yard that also makes you breakfast. Win win.
