Okay.
My standards are: 1 Buff Orpington hen, 1 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock rooster, 1 Australorp hen, 1 Jersey Giant hen, 1 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock hen, 2 Buff Orpington/Australorp hens, 1 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Australorp hen, 1 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Australorp cockerel, 1 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Buff Orpington cockerel, 2 Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Rhode Island Red pullets, 3 EEs two cockerels one pullet, 5 Brahmas, 1 Rhode Island Red hen, 2 Project Wheaten crele Orpingtons cockerel, & pullet. I also have a few standard Silkies.

I’d try the Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Rhode Island Red pullets.

I've finished my latest drawing...'The Owl'

It's my first time ever drawing in a realistic style and I can't wait to get it mounted and framed!

Photos of it aren't great due to the lighting, some edited in black and white because I thought it looked pretty.

It took me roughly 25-30 hours!

All drawn freehand on Earthbound Recycled paper and coloured with Faber-Castell colour pencils. Finished off with white paint highlights.

'The Owl' is based on one of my own photographs I took earlier this year of an Ashy Faced Owl.

Wondering how this is Silkie related? I'm drawing one next! I just can't decide which one to draw...

I may put a thread out asking for people to post their Silkies and I might draw someone else's rather than my own!

The owl was at a falconry/birds of prey display where they take in and rehabilitated them. There was some very lovely birds there and very well cared for.

This barn owl in particular is an Ashy Faced Owl.

Of course! It will be a Silkie and my second time doing realism so fingers crossed it turns out half decent
